  • Conceptual problem: arises when we do not understand something about the world as well as we would like 
  • Research problems: the word conceptual describes their condition and costs or consequences 
    • A researcher without a good conceptual or research problem to work on faces a bad practical problem without one a researcher is out of luck 
  • The common structure of problems 
    • A situation or condition 
    • Undesirable consequences 
  • The nature of conceptual problems 
    • Any state of affairs 
    • Always some version of uncertainty 
  • Pure research: addresses a conceptual problem that doesn’t hear directly on any practical situation 
  • Applied research: addresses a conceptual problem that doesn’t have practical consequences 

TQS STATEMENT: 

  • I am studying creativity in the marketplace and also how controversial ads play a key role in affecting a business in order to find out how a business revolves around marketing to help my reader understand the significance of the immense effects marketing has in promoting a business and their product to their consumers

RESEARCH PROBLEM: 

  • My research problem is more practical than conceptual because it is very important for the world to understand how to run a business and realize the beneficial factors marketing can have on one’s business.
